How it works

Listen. Repeat. Read aloud.

The teacher reads a short phrase and students repeat it together. This gives everyone a chance to practise pronunciation and become familiar with characters and the rhythm of Chinese.

  • Practise reading aloud in a shared setting.
  • Revisit vocabulary and character recognition.
  • Explore texts such as 《大學》 (The Great Learning) and 《論語》 (The Analects).

New to Chinese? Ask whether the reading pace and current text will suit your starting level.
